11:00 am – “SAR Genealogical Research Library and Revolutionary War Ancestor Research”. The SAR Library is more than a wealth of printed works of genealogical value. Participants in this lecture learn how to access much of this collection in your own home with a focus on researching one’s Revolutionary War ancestor.

1:00 pm – “Researching Your Ancestors’ Military Service: Civil War Military Records”. When one’s genealogical research takes you back to the mid-19th Century, you may discover a veteran in the Union or Confederate Army or Navy – or their widow! In this lecture, we discuss what military records may exist that can fill out your family tree and perhaps even break through a brick wall.
